The Gators are expected to make some noise on the recruiting trail this month.
Florida is hosting a star-studded list of recruits this weekend which includes four UF commits: QB DJ Lagway (Willis, TX), S Xavier Filsaime (McKinney, TX), LB Adarius Hayes (Largo, FL), and WR Izaiah Williams (Tampa, FL).
Flips & Targets
This core will attempt flip a few top-rated recruits per 247 Sports. Jeremiah Smith (Hollywood, FL), a 6’3″, 198 lb phenom is both the #1 WR in the nation and an Ohio State commit. He is back in Gainesville alongside of Lagway. ATH Jonathan Echols, a Tennessee commit, is scheduled to visit from IMG Academy. If Florida can convince Texas A&M commit Dealyn Evans (Longview, TX) to flip, he would be the third high-profile commit out of the Lone Star State.
A few other visitors hosted by the Gators this weekend include:
Profiles
Kristopher Jones
6-2 / 220 lb /Fairfax, VA
The 4-star prospect is the top-rated player from Virginia and #11 ranked linebacker in the nation. If Jones commits, he would be the third significant addition at linebacker in the 2024 class (Graham and Hayes).
Many of Jones’ highlights consist of him screaming off the edge to blow up a play, but he also shows the ability to be patient, read the action, and end up in the right place at the right time. He has a nose for the ball and can meet a ball carrier head-on or work to the outside to finish a play.
LJ McCray
6-6 / 260 / Daytona Beach, FL
McCray doubles as a tight end within the Mainland offense and creates plays after the catch.
Jordan Ross
6-5 / 215 / Birmingham, AL

Ross is listed as an edge prospect, yet he can cover sideline to sideline with warp speed. He demonstrates a nose for the ball and plays with a great motor. Will have to bulk up in college if he is going to stay along the defensive front.
The visitor list is impressive, but Florida has to convert weekends like this into commits.
